A properly maintained beach provides for the overall safety and enjoyment of all that use it. Beach pushes and scrapes help to shape the contour of the beach and eliminate beach scarping and tidal pooling giving the beach a smooth, level surface and a well groomed appearance. Excess sand, in some cases, can then be pushed up onto the dunes to help with dune repair and/or restoration.
